THE GANDEN SHARTSE MONKS ARE BACK IN ASPEN

The Sacred Earth and Healing Arts tour from the Ganden Shartse Monestary in southern India will be in Aspen from July 20th through the 28th giving public dharma talks, empowerments, blessing ceremonies and constructing a acred sand mandala at the

Elliott Yeary Gallery.  Also, they will perform a public Lhasang Blessing Ceremony atop Aspen mountain to celebrate His
Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama,  Tenzin Gyatso, during his auspicious first visit to Aspen.

In the twenty-year history of the monks visiting Aspen,  this is the first
time that His Holiness The Dalai Lama will be in town at the same time.

We are sure that this will be a very special time in Aspen and that what
transpires here will benefit many indigenous people around the world who are being persecuted and threatened with extinction.  The plight of the Tibetans is a fate shared by people from Turkey to Darfur.

All proceeds and donations will go directly to support their regional
hospital project in India, which is nearing completion, and to preserve
Tibetan Buddhist traditions, language and culture in exile.

Please join us for any or all of the following programs:

July 21 through JULY 27- 10 A.M. to 6 P.M. daily at the Elliot Yeary Gallery the monks will be constructing a sacred CHENREZIG SAND MANDALA ( the Bodhiasattva of Compassion) which is free to the public and dedicated to The Dalai Lama. ( Fractional sponsorships are still available for $100.00 each, which will underwrite one hour of mandala construction by the monks.)
